Philosophical Walk: Jubilee River (7 miles)

Meet at Taplow station or London Paddington station

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, contact Andrew Dodsworth by phone/text 07904 286774, or email secretary@pfalondon.org

An easy walk down the Jubilee River, an artificial river constructed at the end of the 20th century to alleviate flooding of the Thames between Maidenhead and Windsor. There will be a meal break after about three miles at the Pineapple in Dorney.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four and a half hours.

Meet either at Taplow station at 1021, or on the 0942 Reading train from platform 11* at Paddington. If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Taplow.

* Platforms are as given on Railtrack website, but may be subject to change.
